Journey to Normandy and Bretagne

Journey plan:

Day 1 – Trip from Paris to Deauville

•   Arrival in airport and car rent in Paris
• Drive to Rouen
• Etretat
• Drive to Honfleur over the Normandy Bridge – cable car bridge. It is one of longest suspension bridges in the world (it’s featured on 500 euro bill).
• Tour around Honfleur and lunch in one of favored restaurants. We recommend:

Day 2 – Time off in Deauville

• You may have breakfast in the hotel or in famous confectionery “Dupont avec un the'”. Breakfast is considered the best in Deauville.
• Tour around Deauville and relaxation on the beach
• For lunch you can hop in La Petite Auberge – small family restaurant
• Trip to small village Beuvron-en-Auge
• Pave d'Auge is fantastic restaurant with Michelin star. It is great choice for dinner.

Day 3 – Trip to Saint-Malo

• Breakfast in the hotel and check-out
• Drive from Deauville to the town of copper dishes “Villedieu-les-Poêles”
• Visit of Cancale
• For lunch consider:

1. Cancale, rue des Parcs, restaurant in oyster market
2. « Chez Victor » - 8 quai Administrateur Chef Thomas, 35260 Cancale, France. Cozy place with simple, but tasty meals.
3. A contre courant - 3 Place du Calvaire | 3,plaçe Du Calvaire, 35260 Cancale, France The place to go, if you want to try great variety of seafood.

• You can stay in Cancale for dinner
• Drive to Saint-Malo. We advise to use long road along the sea. “Pointe de Grouin” cape is great view spot. Breathtaking view of Mont Saint-Michel is guaranteed.
• Accommodation in Grand Hôtel Des Therme

Day 4 – Trip to Mont Saint-Michel

• You can have breakfast in the hotel, but…

• Trip to Mont Saint-Michel 
• Lunch in Mont Saint-Michel in famous restaurant “Mere Poulard”. It is famous for its omelet. Also known as Mama Poulard’s Omelet, it brings tourists all over the world to try its exotic flavor.
• Drive to Dinar
• Restaurant in your hotel (Grand Hôtel Des Therme) is a great place for dinner. Large choice of dishes and family atmosphere make it the best choice.

Day 5 – Time off in Saint-Malo and return to Paris

• You can have breakfast in the hotel or you can go to the city center and have a cup of coffee with “kouign amann” (traditional Bretagne’s puff pastry pie).  The best “kouign amann” are made in unnamed place with yellow tent near central cathedral. This traditional pie is made from butter and sugar which are usual ingredients for a lot of baking. But “kouign amann” in unnamed bakery is out of competition. Of course there are other fantastic traditional Bretagne’s pies: “Far Bretagne”- prune pie and “Kir-o-Pom” – apple sand cake.
• Tour around Saint-Malo
• Drive back to Paris
• Car return and flight home
